To have no water for showers and toilets, and not be notified when checking in, and being told there was a sign in the lift after check in with no sorry etc! Charging for services not provided is illegal.

My specific request was for no stairs (and walk-in shower) to cater for my elderly husband and physically challenged son. Of the two rooms required, a suite was booked but on check-in found not viable, being on level 5 and accessed by stairs; the elevator only goes to level 4. Regardless of size, all rooms are called a "suite" and we were given two down a long, stepped corridor with three sets of three steps .... difficult and painful. These ordinary rooms had a king bed, a bench, and a timber chair. Tight for two people, so no room to sit for family conversation, and the only common area was at the swimming pool. I could not have been clearer when making the booking and should have been told the property was not suitable for our needs. A long drive for us to meet up for disappointment and discomfort. Not good enough.

Thank you Oaks Lure Nelson Bay. Excellent stay, will definitively be back again. This was our 4th stay at the property, will not even consider to look for anything else next time. Great staff, good location, beautiful view. Carol in reception was exceptionally nice and helpful.
